During the early months of 121 BCE, General Hue Quebing lead a Chinese cavalry expedition against the Xiongnu. The expedition departed from a point in the Beidi Commandary south of the Wei River and attacked the Xiongnu in the western section of what is now the Chinese province of Gansu. Hue Quebing was a nephew of General Wei Qing. |
